Round drills roll. Set one down a hair off its square and it nudges the next, and three rows later a straight line has gone soft. This guide keeps the neighbors honest.
Lay it over the canvas and six slots open up, each exactly three columns of 2.8 mm round drills wide. Everything between the slots stays covered, so your sleeve and the side of your hand rest on plastic instead of the adhesive. Fill the slots top to bottom, slide the guide over three columns, and the bars fall on the columns you skipped. Two placements and that whole section is done. The slot edges are beveled on top so the pen reaches the drills along the wall, and small notches above each slot mark the column centers for lining the guide up square.
Why silk. Silk PLA prints slick, so the guide slides across finished drills without snagging, and its sheen makes it easy to spot on a busy canvas. It is printed in the same ten colors as my silk tool set, so the two can match.

Straight talk. This is the guide only, no drills, canvas or pen. The Jeanne Argent Atelier text shown in the listing photos does not appear on the guide you receive; it is there solely for branding. It is sized for round drills on a 2.8 mm grid, which is the common spacing; some canvases run closer to 2.7 mm, and on those the outer slots drift about a column off, so reposition by section rather than across the whole width. It is not meant for square drills. It is printed plastic, not a precision instrument, and PLA softens in heat, so keep it out of a parked car and away from a heat gun. Printed a batch at a time, so shade can shift a little between orders.
