Rope Bowl — 10-Inch Twisted Rope Catchall, PLA, Three Colors

Every house has one flat surface where things land. Keys, the mail, sunglasses nobody will claim, a remote that belongs in another room. By Thursday it's a drift. This bowl gives the drift an edge.

It's a wide, shallow bowl, about ten inches across and two and a half inches deep, with the walls wrapped in rows of twisted rope from the base to the rim. The floor inside is flat and smooth, and the base is broad enough that it sits steady on a table, a dresser or an entryway console. It comes in three colors: Light Yellow, Muted Blue and Wine Burgundy.

Why the rope. A plain printed bowl shows every layer line, and it looks exactly like what it is. The rope twist runs on the diagonal, against the layers, so the print lines sink into the pattern instead of competing with it. From across the room it reads woven and soft rather than plastic, and the texture is far more forgiving of a scuff or a fingerprint than a smooth wall would be.

Straight talk. It's a bowl, and that's what's in the box. It's decor, not a kit: no drills, no canvas, no tools. It isn't meant for direct food contact, so keep it to wrapped candy or anything in its own packaging. Line the bowl with wax paper or parchment paper before putting any food items in it.

 PLA softens at temperatures a hot car, a sunny windowsill or a dishwasher will reach, so keep it out of all three. Print layer lines are visible up close, and because each one is printed individually, no two come out identical.

Thursday comes, the keys go in the bowl, and the counter goes back to being a counter.
