Little Black Dress Pen, Pencil & Small Tool Holder

The pens are currently in a mug with a company logo on it, or a jar that used to hold pasta sauce. Both of those work. Neither one is doing anything for the desk.

This is a cocktail dress, sculpted and standing on its own: nipped in at the waist, flaring into a skirt that is really a deep cup, so the pens fan out of the neckline like a bouquet. It prints in matte black PLA, completely non-reflective, and the matte surface holds the seam lines and draped folds as real texture, so the silhouette reads tailored rather than molded. Matte black only, because nothing else is a little black dress.

At 5 3/8 inches tall it is deep enough for full-length pens, pencils, markers, scissors, paintbrushes, makeup brushes and knitting needles. On a craft table it takes drill pens, styluses and tweezers just as happily.

Straight talk

Two inches across at the waist makes this a working handful rather than a whole supply drawer; it is a slim cup by design, so the overflow stays where it lives now. Hand wash with mild soap and cool water, no dishwasher. Keep it out of direct heat, hot car interiors and open flame, since PLA softens, and please do not use it as a candle holder. Slight variations in layer texture and finish come with printing one at a time.
